CTRO signed a MoU with newly established Ukrainian Center for Improvement of Mine Action and Environmental Security
During the 27th International Meeting of Mine Action National Directors & UN Advisers held from April 29 till May 01, 2024 in Geneva, Croatian Mine Action Centre – Centre for Testing, Development and Training (CTRO) and Ukranian Center for Improvement of Mine Action and Environmental (CIMAES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
CIMAES is the newly established division within the system of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine responsible for carrying out practical tasks related to mine action and environmental safety.
This Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the Managing Director of CTRO Ms. Katarina Markt and Head of CIMAES Mr. Oleg Ryabchuk, has been executed on April 30, 2024, establishes a cooperative framework for the exchange of knowledge, sharing of experiences, and fostering innovations within the humanitarian demining sector.
The strong cooperation between Ukraine and Croatia in mine action has developed into a collaboration on innovative projects involving mine detection technologies and techniques, along with the exchange of best practices in thefield of testing and certification.
