Croatian experts held the first of a series of workshops in Kiev as part of the project Support to Strengthen Humanitarian Mine Action in Ukraine
As part of the project titled " Comprehensive Support to the National Mine Action Sector of Ukraine, Component 2: Support to Strengthen Humanitarian Mine Action in Ukraine," the first in a series of workshops took place in Kyiv from July 16-19, 2024.
During these four days, Croatian experts conducted workshops for their Ukrainian colleagues on various topics, including:
Stakeholders and structure of the Mine Action system, Planning and priorities in Mine Action, Quality management, including quality assurance, certification and accreditation of personnel and equipment and certification of mine detection dogs, Non-technical survey and Systematic and institutional approaches to innovative technologies
Representatives from all stakeholders in the Ukrainian mine action system participated in the workshops.
This project is implemented by CTRO in collaboration with the Directorate of Civil Protection. It aims to enhance the capacity of state mine action operators in Ukraine by providing strategic and technical guidance on the integrated management of mine action activities.
