University of Manchester team at Benkovac test site
A team from the University of Manchester visited the Benkovac test site for five days from Wednesday 1 June to Sunday 5 June. The team are sponsored by the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation and during the visit also met with colleagues at the University of Zagreb. This was the latest in a series of visits during which the team have been able to advance and refine their systems. This time, team were testing fully integrated units.
Professor Peyton said, “We have had several very good days of testing, the site is in excellent condition and the weather has been very favourable. We have found the site very suitable for our purposes with test lanes containing a good mix of targets and soil types suitable for both metal detector and ground penetrating radar research.W
