CTRO representatives participated on Innovation Conference 2023
Croatian delegation consists of representatives from CTRO and the CROMAC, Directorate for Civil Protection participated on the Innovation Conference 2023, successfully organized by GICHD from November 14-16, 2023 in Geneva.
An Innovation Conference is an event aimed at connecting the potential of innovation to reduce the risks caused by landmines, cluster munitions and other explosive ordnance. The conference welcomed over 300 participants from more than 200 organisations operating in over 60 countries and territories. This event brought together the global community working in humanitarian demining, ammunition management, and innovation, serving as a unique platform to promote dynamic collaboration.
The Innovation Conference connected the dots under six key themes critical to innovation in explosive ordnance risk reduction, including standards, social and behaviour change communication, funding and innovative finance, technology prioritisation, ammunition management and agricultural land release.
On the second day of the Conference Mr. Davor Laura, Head of the operations give a presentation and actively involved in a panel discussion named TECHNOLOGY PRIORITISATION: A NEEDS-BASED APPROACH and present Croatian model and experience in the field of innovation in mine action.
