HCR-CTRO participates in EDF project AIDEDeX

HCR-CTRO is a partner in a research project AIDEDeX (Artificial Intelligence for Detection of Explosive Ordnance Extended), financed by the European Defence Agency, which started in December 2023. The project consortium is led by the Space Applications Services from Belgium, and the partners are HCR-CTRO, Royal Military Academy from Belgium, Fraunhofer Institute from Germany, CATEC from Sapin and Lightnovo from Denmark.

It is a 4-year project which aims to provide a baseline for advanced and mature research in multi-robotic systems with State of the Art sensors and Artificial Intelligence Algorithms for the detection and classification of Improvised Explosive Devices IEDs, explosive ordnance and landmines. The outcomes of AIDEDex will be evaluated in a challenge organised by the HiTDOC project.

The participation in this expert consortium and the award of the project is a confirmation of the expertise and professional reputation of HCR-CTRO and its external scientific associates, gained over more than 20 years of participation in R&D projects funded mostly by the European Union, the Croatian Government and USA.
