The machine was tested in May 2015 under the name of LOCOSTRA P796EVO. Later on it was renamed as APT 796 and under that name was validated in actual field conditions in Croatia.

During the testing conducted at Cerovac test site in May 2015, it was established, that in accordance with the manufacturer’s claims, LOCOSTRA P796­EVO:

  • can successfully remove vegetation and trees up to 10cm in diameter. Calculations determined that, in controlled conditions, machine has vegetation cutting capacity of 2739.13 m2/h
  • can withstand without greater malfunctions and/or damage explosion impacts of antipersonnel mines under the work tool and wheels
  • has good manoeuverability.
